In my work process I attempt to capture the human spirit in the form of planar marks on a two dimensional surface as well as three dimensional forms in space. Currently I am exploring problem solving in two dimensions using traditional oil painting techniques and the monotype process alongside three dimensional problem solving using traditional metal casting and foundry techniques to translate modeled forms into metal. I wish to capture the tactile experience in the mark making on a two dimensional surface and the textures of three dimensional forms.
