MYLIEGHN BUI

MyLieghn Bui was born in Gulfport, MS, and raised in D’Iberville and Biloxi, MS. She attended St. Patrick Catholic High School and mainly focused on math and sciences. She chose to major in Art at the University of Southern Mississippi to opt out of a medical career. Art was more work than she imaged, and because of that she fell in love with it. MyLieghn is a three-dimensional artist, who loves to find ways to express herself in different kinds of mediums. She is traditionally trained in cast metal arts, specifically cast iron, and ceramics. Much of her artwork involves exploration of her thoughts, emotions, and relationships with others. She plans to graduate in May of 2019 and will potentially attend graduate school for social work to find a way to blend her love of art with her joy of helping others.
