WHITSON RAMSEY
Whitson Ramsey, originally from Jackson, MS, is currently a resident of Hattiesburg, MS, with his wife Katie. He will be receiving his Bachelor in Fine Arts with a focus in Drawing and Painting in May of 2018. Though always enthusiastic about art as a child, Ramsey’s artistic career began in 2014 upon admission to the University of Southern Mississippi. Since the beginning of his education, the artist has exhibited work across the state and won many awards for his paintings and drawings including being named for Best in Show at the 2017 Annual Bi-State Competition at the Meridian Museum of Art in Meridian, MS, which will be followed by a solo exhibition at the museum in the Fall of 2018.
